COVID-19 UPDATE

Understandably, we have received many inquiries about the status of THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride and whether events will return to markets across the UK, US and Canada during the Christmas season.

Each event location is independently owned and operated and will make their own decision as to whether they will operate based on requirements from governing health authorities. A full list of licensed UK hosts can be found on our Locations page.

Locations that are hosting THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride in 2021 may be required to place additional emphasis on enhanced health and safety measures that include physical distancing, reduced occupancy limits, cleaning procedures and face coverings. Other event adjustments may be required, so please check with your local host railroad for a complete list of changes due to COVID-19.

We recognize that your experience on THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride may be slightly different this season, but we are confident that our valued host railways will continue offering a magical adventure full of Chirstmas cheer. 

About us

Our train ride is set to the sounds and songs from the family favorite holiday movie THE POLAR EXPRESS™ .

Passengers will experience the magic of the classic story as they are whisked away on THE POLAR EXPRESS™ for a magical one-hour trip to the North Pole. They are joined on board by the popular characters inspired by the movie including dancing chefs who serve each passenger hot chocolate and a delicious treat!

Passengers enjoy a reading of the book by Chris Van Allsburg and receive the First Gift of Christmas (a silver sleigh bell) after Santa boards the train to greet families. Attendants lead passengers in caroling and fun holiday activities on the return trip.

JOIN US FOR A MAGICAL TRIP!

Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, passengers will relive the magic of the classic story as they are whisked away on THE POLAR EXPRESS™ for a magical one-hour trip to meet Santa. Once on board, car hosts will work their way through the coach and punch golden tickets before hot chocolate and a delicious cookie are served by dancing chefs. Passengers then read along with the classic children’s book, The Polar Express, by Chris Van Allsburg.

Santa and his helpers board the train to greet passengers and each guest is given the first gift of Christmas. During the trip, characters on each car lead fantastic onboard entertainment – just like in the film! Each guest will take home a keepsake sleigh bell in addition to the wonderful memories made on this magical trip. Families are encouraged to wear their pajamas for the ride!

Starting the moment passengers arrive, they’re welcomed with themed music, attractive décor, and THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride branded signage and collateral. On board, the train passengers will be entertained by characters from the film, served Hot Chocolate and a cookie from dancing Chefs and Waiters, as well as have their very own Golden Ticket punched by the Conductor. After a presentation of the Polar Express story, the train will arrive at the North Pole where Santa will climb aboard and personally deliver the first gift of Christmas, a Silver Bell from his sleigh, to each child on the train.
